The American Center for Elemental Music and Movement is pleased to announce its seventh scholarship award!
This scholarship is for music educators interested in pursuing studies or individual or collaborative projects in elemental music and movement, an accessible approach to music education that develops both personal musicianship and ensemble skills, and has rich artistic rewards. Its appeal is broad, incorporating both music and movement, and reaches diverse populations. This scholarship is intended to help music and movement educators further their studies in order to benefit the students they teach.
In the past, ACEMM has supported recipients traveling to Finland, Ghana, and Austria. We also have supported those studying World Music Pedagogy and have also funded a drum circle facilitator to work with a school community. Scholarship requests may not exceed $1,000 at this time.
